I now feel even more confident as an entrepreneur. If something like this is possible, anything is possible.
The Name On The ID
Me: I’ll have the Heffe Blonde
Bar Tender: Can I see some ID?
Me: I have a tab.
Bar Tender: I still need ID
(… hands over ID … ok … served drink …)
Bar Tender: That’ll be $5
Me: I have a tab.
Bar Tender: Under what name?

University Golf Course Websites
Students looking for free golf or great portfolio pieces, here are two websites in dire need of a redesign.
Stanford University Golf Course
Indiana University Golf Course (Please start by not redirecting golfiu.com to that horrendous /golf/proto/golfiu)
I bet there’s a huge market for golf course redesigns. Someone put together a Pac 10 vs Big Ten golf course website comparison. Thanks ahead of time.

Hi maxbeatty,
We’re just sending you a courtesy e-mail to let you know that the funds you deposited into your Envato Marketplace account some time ago are about to expire.
You have $8.00 left to spend by August 19, 2011. Did you know you can spend your deposit on any of Envato’s marketplaces – (ActiveDen , AudioJungle , ThemeForest , VideoHive , GraphicRiver , 3DOcean , CodeCanyon , Tuts+ Marketplace , and PhotoDune )?“
Envato expires cash deposits automatically after one year as a small percentage of users leave money in their account for long periods of time and cannot be contacted. Unfortunately Envato cannot be responsible for holding cash for indefinite periods. That being said, we are very happy to extend your balance if you contact us.
If you wish to extend your cash balance for six months, please sign in and visit http://activeden.net/user/maxbeatty/extend_deposits
Alternatively, by making a new deposit of any amount to your Marketplace account, you will automatically extend the validity of all funds in your account by 12 months.
Cheers,
The Envato Team

ESPN 1985 = Digg Nation 2012?
Ironically, Kevin Rose, co-host of diggnation, made his premium personal newsletter free this week signaling that people aren’t willing to pay for premium video content. Why would he change course?. His Foundation interviews are exponentially better than the recent months of diggnation (IMO).
