Not a lot of thought went into this legal notice. First, the email was sent from noreply@stupid.domain so I have no idea whom to notify. Second, you can’t return emails like you can postal mail. Once it hits the inbox and the recipient has read all the way to the end of your legal notice, there’s no turning back. I hope they come after me for disclosing, copying, distributing, and using their email for this post.

Shortly after I got my iPad this summer, I bought the Twelve South Compass stand and love it. I received a DODOcase for Christmas which is equally awesome. It turns out that by using them together, I solved one of the minute imperfections of the Compass stand. If you aren’t paying attention, you can set the iPad’s volume button on the arm which results in muting it. When I have my iPad in my DODOcase, it still fits on the Compass and creates a buffer so I don’t have to worry about resting the volume button on the arm. Hooray awesome products combining forces!

How to Automatically Backup Your Tumblr

  1. Download the Tumblr Backup App
  2. Create a new event in iCal that repeats every week, month, or year
  3. Set the alarm to open the app

When the app launches, you’ll still have to click “Start backup” unless you want to make a cool script. Right now there is only a Mac version of the backup app. It would be nice if they released a script you could set to run via corncob.

Does anyone have a better way to automatically backup Tumblr?

Since I don’t own a car, I rent pretty often. Sometimes from Hertz and the like for weekends, but more often from Zipcar. It allows me to try a lot of different cars so I thought I should start documenting my experiences.

Tonight, I reserved an Audi A3 hatchback for an hour and was really impressed. It drove great; the controls were intuitive, and it looked pretty attractive for a hatchback. I love cars with slap shift so that was fun to use. It was so smooth on the highway that as my passenger turned to me, we had already hit the speed he told me to stay under.

Thumbs up for the Audi. I’d definitely buy one especially if I had a reason to need the hatchback regularly.
